We suspect that any long-distance target shooting enthusiast would soundly approve of Sig Sauer Elite Hunter ammunition. Its accuracy leaves little, if anything, to be desired. But hunting is the name of this 6.5 Creedmoor ammo’s game – and it really steps up to the plate in that department!
This ammo’s bullets are so pretty that you may just feel guilty firing them. The 130 grain projectile’s copper jacket wears protective black coating, and its polymer tip is bright yellow. But it’s not just attractive. It’s extremely accurate thanks to its uniform solid lead core, highly concentric jacket, streamlined tip and perfectly shaped boat tail. The bullet’s -7.25” drop at 300 yards after slipping past a 200-yard zero speaks to its flat trajectory. The deep-penetrating and wide-expanding bullet’s 0.510 G1 ballistic coefficient also means that it conserves over 1,500 ft lbs of energy until approximately 300 yards, so we dare say it’s more than capable of anchoring an elk at medium range.
Sig Sauer’s premium reloadable brass cases, industry-leading Boxer primers, and temperature stable propellant all speak to the quality they insist on showcasing in each box of Elite Hunter ammo. European company; American-made ammo!
